Zombieland 4K Blu-ray Movie Review
Reviewed by Martin Liebman October 1, 2019
Sony and Best Buy have collaborated on a store exclusive SteelBook release for Director Ruben Fleischer's 2009 film 'Zombieland.' The disc and
digital content is identical to that found in the wide release. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section of the review below
for more on the SteelBook's look and feel.

Zombieland 4K Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras

There's a nice little bit of reflectivity in the SteelBook's center, which is comprised of a familiar globe-shaped "mini world" with various items -- bridges,
a car, and several explosions -- popping off the surface. The film's title is strewn across in large amusement park-like letters, all aglow in an orange
dominant hue and matching the globe's curvature. The corners are a very dark gray which become significantly lighter closer in to the globe. The rear
panel features Woody Harrelson's
"Tallahassee," a smug little smile on his face and his sawed-off shotgun leaning over his left shoulder. He's behind the relative safety of a car door, but
a bloodied zombie in a ruined suit is running towards the door. An overturned car is behind him. There's also a zombie in the car door's side view
mirror, suggesting one is coming towards Tallahassee. The image is also curiously rendered, appearing to have something of a meshy, low-grade print
texture about it. Both front and rear panels are nice and grippy rather than slick and smooth. They will not show fingerprints. The spine is a simple
black color with the film's title in similar orange dominant coloring running center. It's identical to the front save for the curvature around the globe. A
Columbia logo appears at the bottom.
Inside, the digital copy code is tucked underneath the left-hand-side tabs. The two discs, one UHD and one Blu-ray, are situated on the right in
staggered-stacked formation. The inner print is a two-panel spread that features, in typical Sony catalogue SteelBook fashion, a single color, here
orange.

Zombieland 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation

Zombieland's SteelBook is relatively nice. The front cover manages a combination of busy and basic quite nicely. The print on the rear side is a
little curious. There's nothing of note inside but the orange color at least gets noticed. The UHD content is very good. Highly recommended.
