In a world devoid of the living and filled with the walking dead, a handful of survivors, led by a man named Doc (Brian Anthony Wilson), struggle to maintain some semblance of normalcy and security in a town called Elwood. Young soldiers are trained, via paintball, in the ways of war against the zombies under the guidance of an ex-military man named Seiler (Billy Zane). They uncover what they believe to be the roots of the outbreak and come to learn that their town may lay in the path of certain destruction.

Paintball of the dead.

Zombie Killers: Elephant's Graveyard features a clean HD video appearance that provides nice, bright colors and intricate details, particularly evident in close-up shots of faces, the sporting goods "armor," and the heavily modified and bulky firearms. Black levels are fairly pale and unusually smooth, resulting in some flat scenes that are strikingly less complex than their many brighter counterparts. Overall, it's fairly representative of most any average HD-sourced transfer on the market today.

Zombie Killers: Elephant's Graveyard features a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 lossless soundtrack. Clearly defined dialogue, quality background ambience, and authoritative and robust full-stage music are all pluses. ATVs power through the stage with adequate heft, but gunshots are a little disappointing in total, despite decent power and volume.

Zombie Killers: Elephant's Graveyard contains three featurettes.

The makings of a better movie are here. Zombie Killers: Elephant's Graveyard is a film that tries too hard and ends up lacking the tighter cohesion necessary to tell a better, richer story. It's uneven and occasionally dull, saved by a few good performances and a solid idea. Anchor Bay's Blu-ray offers good video and audio along with three featurettes. Rent it.
