An exceptional steelbook edition for the Yu Yu Hakusho anime series

A spectacular anime in every sense of the word, Yu Yu Hakusho is one of the best Shonen action series ever made. The story centers upon the troubled teenager Yusuke Urameshi. After seeing a young kid crossing the street unattended, Yusuke risks his life to push the child out out of way of the incoming traffic and dies a tragic death. Entering the Spirit World, Yusuke finds himself tossed into a spirit detective role alongside a group of heroes who fight the worst demons the world has ever seen. Featuring breathtaking animation, outstanding music, exceptional character designs, and remarkable characters, Yu Yu Hakusho is an essential 90's gem that has stood the test of time as a defining classic of the genre.

NEW to the special edition:
The release is packaged with gorgeous Steelbook packaging. The artwork for the release was illustrated by Yu Yu Hakusho animator Masaaki Kannan. The artwork features Kuwabara in an exciting, action packed pose that is sure to please die-hards of the fan-favorite character. The steelbook feels quite luxurious and hefty in hand and is a truly special edition for fans of the series. The back of the steelbook features an ensemble illustration with the entire group united as one. The set also includes two art-cards featuring iconic illustrations.
The release includes a new bonus disc featuring never-before-seen content as detailed below:
Episode 63 Video Commentary with Justin Cook (Yusuke) and Christopher Saabat (Kuwabara) is just as it sounds on paper (screen?): a commentary-track with the format reversed from audio-only to include behind-the-scenes footage of the voice-actors during the creation of the commentary. The track is quite fun. Throughout the video (which alternates between picture-in-picture of the episode playing in the right hand corner of the screen or the voice-actors footage being placed in the same corner), the duo delve into discussing the ongoing legacy of Yu Yu Hakusho. The reminiscing leads to a number of jokes and some surprising conversations about Justin Cook's personal home server channel (which he created to broadcast content just for him 24/7). The extra is enormously fun for fans of the English language dub. Don't miss it.

Another action-packed season of the legendary Yu Yu Hakusho anime, season 3 has received a deluxe Blu-ray edition with stunning steelbook packaging, two art cards, and a brand new bonus feature that has never been released before. The series remains a favorite after all these years and is sure to delight fans (both established fans and those new to the franchise). The set looks great next to the season one and season two steelbook re-releases and for those collecting these special edition versions, the set is certainly another must-have edition. Spirit gun!
