You're Next Blu-ray Movie Review
Reviewed by Jeffrey Kauffman August 15, 2024
Lionsgate is once again partnering with Walmart to provide collectors with a set of SteelBook releases, this time with several linked "Bloody
Disgusting"
titles. All of the SteelBooks have similar designs that feature an emphasis on blacks, which may mean that white gloves may be in order for
fingerprint and/or other smudge protection. This is another review copy that arrived with a bit of noticeable damage which may be made out in some
of the hi res photographs of the packaging I've uploaded to accompany this review.

My original
You're Next Blu-ray review of Lionsgate's wide
release should hopefully provide sufficient plot information and assessment of technical merits, for those interested.

You're Next Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras

On disc supplements are detailed in the above linked review. The design aesthetic of these releases tends to feature black and red, though a few select
titles are instead skewed more toward orange-yellow-gold tones in the place of reds, and that's once again the case here. That said, if the tonal values
change, the overall look is much the same, with another large black and white photo of a head (this time an animal, or at least an animal
mask) split open by an intruding image in gold(ish) tones of an actual human. The back panel features a quote, following the branding of all of
these "Bloody Disgusting" SteelBook releases. This is another release where pretty much only the interior left panel has an image, in this case another
golden hued nemesis. All of these similarly branded SteelBooks have a J card. A digital copy is also included.
You're Next Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation

You're Next is one of the stronger films in this new set of (mostly) re-releases from Lionsgate, with solid technical merits and some appealing
supplements. This particular SteelBook offers the "alternate" color scheme that a couple of the others in this series do, and should appeal to collectors,
especially those who like similarly branded sets. Recommended.
