Yellowstone: The Dutton Legacy Collection Giftset Blu-ray Movie Review

Paramount has released an economical one-stop shop for all four seasons of the hit TV series 'Yellowstone' and the first season of the popular spin-off '1883.' This is the second such release for 2022; May saw the drop of the first four seasons collection. Yellowstone: The Dutton Legacy Collection Giftset Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras 

This is simply a collection of all four of the currently (as of early 2023) released seasons of the smash hit TV sensation Yellowstone' and the first season of the hit spinoff series 1883. All five of the individual Blu-ray season releases have simply been packaged into a single box. The discs ship in the same Amary cases with identical artwork and identical content on each disc. The cases fit snuggly into an inner tray into which all of them are simply stacked one atop the other. Underneath all of them is a "secret compartment," for lack of a better term, that houses a very flimsy and unusable Dutton Ranch coaster. The box is a standard slip box with an opening on the side to hold the tray.

Unlike the box from the last release, which was meant to take on the look, and even the texture, of leather, this one is without texture beyond an embossed Yellowstone "Y" logo front center. The text "The Dutton Legacy Collection" appears top center above the show's title in yellow. The text "Limited Edition Gift Set" appears centered at the bottom. Some corner adornments are also included but are unfortunately not embossed. The spine looks and feels like the front. The rear panel is blank. All info is on a loose leaflet. It's pretty plain.

This second Yellowstone series boxed set of 2022 speaks volumes to the show's popularity, saying that the market can support two such releases within months of one another. But with Yellowstone as big as ever and showing no signs of slowing down, expect more bundles like this in the future, but hopefully more with added content to satisfy die-hards as well as casual audiences. The content is very good, both from a production perspective and from an A/V perspective. Fans also get plenty of extras across all five seasons. Recommended.
