Released on Blu-ray by Crunchyroll, Welcome to Demon School Iruma-Kun Season 2 is presented in 1080p MPEG-4 AVC encoded high-definition in the original television broadcast aspect ratio of 1.78:1 widescreen. The high-definition video presentation is excellent on the release. The video transfer looks crisp and clear. The animation style is robust and well reproduced on the set. The colors "pop" with considerable clarity. The background animation and line artwork are impressive and add a lot to the series in spades. The results certainly help create more engaging animation and there is a lot worth celebrating about the production aesthetic. The character artwork is well detailed throughout as well.
One of the benefits of physical media is the encoding quality. Streaming video services often provide video with more compression and lower bit- rates. Physical media can often provide higher video bit-rates, solid encoding, and compression. There are also fewer variables compared to streaming video services. One can pop on a disc and get something with dependable picture quality. The access is well worthwhile, too – no one needing to fret about the video quality, dependability, or access. The results work well and there are no outside variables to consider – from streaming connection speeds, internet service plans, and much more.

For enthusiasts wanting to eek out the best quality in the audio, there certainly is a lot to appreciate. The audio has more depth, spaciousness, and detail. A more refined experience.

The release includes a nicely designed o-card slipcover. The slipcover artwork is fantastic. The artwork underneath the slipcover remains the same as the artwork on the slip itself. The package design is an impressive aspect of the release and certainly makes a wonderful impression – both when held in hand and on the shelf.
The release could have been slightly better with separate artwork underneath the slip itself. The addition of more key artwork would have added some extra value to the release. The release also isn't quite as enticing as a steelbook edition. Steelbook packaging adds a lot of extra collectability and is well worthwhile. The release also could have used some other physical swag to round out the package – from artcards, to posters, to other collectable swag.
On disc supplements include:
Textless Opening Song (HD, 1:32)
Textless Closing Songs (HD, 4:35)
Unfortunately, the release includes a lackluster supplemental package – the bonus features are not that enticing. The release could have used some audio commentaries, behind-the-scenes, making-of featurettes, cast/crew interviews, photo galleries, art galleries, and more. In the streaming era, audiences sometimes want more and expect more from physical media – some nice swag or bonus features to add something enticing to the package. Every little bit helps with adding something of value to the physical release.
