Overview

Warm Bodies 4K (2013)

After a zombie epidemic, R (a highly unusual zombie) encounters Julie (a human survivor), and rescues her from a zombie attack. Julie sees that R is different from the other zombies, and as the two form a special relationship in their struggle for survival, R becomes increasingly more human – setting off an exciting, romantic, and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and maybe even the whole lifeless world.

Warm Bodies 4K Blu-ray Movie Review

Hey, it's only been a decade (give or take) since Lionsgate released Warm Bodies and only six years or so (again, give or take) since Warm Bodies 4K came out in standard packaging, so I don't to hear any back talk about my running joke concerning how random the studio's 4K UHD releases have been (that's also a joke). One way or the other, Lionsgate is back to the well or whatever the zombie equivalent is with a new SteelBook packaging with 4K UHD and 1080 discs, once again offered as a Best Buy exclusive, per Lionsgate's standard operating procedure.

Supplements are detailed in the above linked reviews. Additionally, this SteelBook features a nice, appropriately red and orange drenched cover that offers striking illustrations of several of the key characters. The inside had another rather striking illustration where the sprockets for the discs are "eyes". As with many SteelBooks, this features a mylar O Ring which I've uploaded some screenshots of. Finally, a digital copy is included.


Warm Bodies 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation  4.5 of 5

Warm Bodies is an unexpectedly entertaining diversion, and I gave pretty stellar reviews to both the 1080 and prior 4K UHD releases. This SteelBook offers fans who are gaga over packaging a new and potentially improved purchase opportunity, and at least for those folks, this release comes Highly recommended.
