After scoring a hit with their low-budget adaptation of H.G. Wells's "War of the Worlds"--arguably because of name confusion with the Tom Cruise blockbuster--Asylum Entertainment returns with this continuation of the sci-fi saga. C. Thomas Howell ('Soul Man') directs and stars in this frightening sequel that imagines the aliens returning to blast away the ruins of mankind. But the ETs had better watch out.
