Please note, that while the vast majority of Twister (1996)'s special features are carried forward to this release, the "Nature Tech: Tornadoes:
History Channel Special (2003)" (Runtime: 45.18) which was present on the first release does not appear on this disc which also has a different image
printed on it; plain black with the
logo instead of the original release's reproduced cover art. Information about all of the other features can be found by following the link to the original
Twister (1996) review.
For an accounting of the new film's on-disc supplemental material, please follow the link to the Twisters (2024) review.

The original film was relentlessly entertaining, offering then-cutting-edge effects with a tight story and an excellent cast in Hunt, Paxton, and Philip Seymour Hoffman. The latest film, while a sequel, does not require much, if any, knowledge of the first film, and while the structure, plot, and characters share some striking similarities to the first film, with its improved visual effects, delightful cast, and eye-catching cinematography, the new film quite effectively stands on its own. Both are perfectly re-watchable big-budget disaster films. While the original loses a nice feature on this rerelease, Twisters (2024) offers some very interesting segments of its own including a great commentary track and an effects-focused featurette. Highly recommended.
