Disney and Best Buy have collaborated on a store exclusive UHD/Blu-ray SteelBook release for the hit 1999 digitally animated film 'Toy Story 2.' The set includes the same disc and digital content as found in the wide release packaging. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section of the review below for more. Also available are UHD SteelBooks for 'Toy Story' and 'Toy Story 3.'

Toy Story 2's SteelBook thrives on simplicity. It features a predominantly, and colorfully, orange background. A lower center image depicts
Jessie,
Woody, and Buzz riding atop Bullseye, who is rearing up. Woody is waving his hat in the air and Buzz is cheering with his left hand to the sky. The film's
title appears above,
also center, and the words "Toy Story" and the number "2" are debossed. The rear side is much the same, but the title is, of course, gone, replaced by
two footprints, the one on the left belonging to Buzz, the one on the right to Woody. Woody's is a brown color, Buzz's purple, and Andy's name appears
scrawled
on both.
Unobtrusive copyright and model number text appear at the
bottom. The spine shakes things up, ditching the orange color in favor of a deep blue hue. The film's title (with the words "Disney Pixar" as on the
front) appears center. An UltraHD logo is situated at the bottom. The SteelBook is made of a smooth, slick, glossy material that is prone to
fingerprinting.
Inside, the digital copy code is tucked underneath the left-hand-side tabs. The two discs, one UHD and one Blu-ray, are situated on the right in
staggered-stacked formation. The inner print is a two-panel spread that features several main characters scooting across the street under well-worn
orange safety cones. A massive vehicle is bearing down on them from the rear. The characters depicted, from left to right, are Mr. Potato Head,
Hamm,
Rex, Buzz, and Slinky Dog, who humorously has two cones, one on both ends.

Toy Story 2's SteelBook is appropriately colorful and cool. The debossed title work is a nice touch. Along with the other two films in the series, this will make for a great addition to any SteelBook library. Hopefully the inevitable SteelBook for Toy Story 4 will follow the same design parameters. Very highly recommended.
