Reviewed by Martin Liebman August 18, 2020
F.Y.E. and Paramount have collaborated on a store exclusive SteelBook release for Director Peter Segal's hilarious 1995 Comedy 'Tommy Boy.' The
disc is identical to that found in the 2008 wide release. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section of the review below for
more on the SteelBook's look and feel.

Tommy Boy Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras

The yellow dominant front and rear panels are slick and smooth but visible fingerprinting is not much of an issue. The front depicts Tommy, puffed up
and large, filling much of the panel and with a goofy grin on his face. Richard is also center but lower down, looking irritated. The deer is peeking out
middle bottom with its antlers reaching upward and framing Tommy and Richard. The film's title appears in black block letters top center. "Chris
Farley" and "David Spade" appear above in white. The rear panel carries over the yellow color. The doorless blue convertible appears center bottom
with its engine smoking and the deer standing inside the vehicle. A Paramount logo and legalese appear bottom left in white. The yellow spine depicts
the film's title in black, center, with white Paramount and Blu-ray logos at the top and bottom, respectively.
Inside, the lone Blu-ray disc appears on a single hub on the right hand side. The inner print is a two-panel spread that depicts Richard, left, and
Tommy, right, sitting in the convertible, the former chilling with his shades, the latter behind the wheel and obviously really into the adventure. There's
a hole
in the glass.

Tommy Boy Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation

The Tommy Boy SteelBook will certainly stand apart from the crowd. It's bright, it's fun, and the movie is great. Sadly there's no change to the
on-disc content but first-time buyers and SteelBook enthusiasts will want to add this one to their collections. Recommended.
