Disney is offering this SteelBook edition of Thunderbolts* in addition to their standard packaging releases of Thunderbolts* 4K and Thunderbolts*. The disc contents here mirror the wide 4K release (which includes a 1080 disc).

On disc supplements are detailed in the above linked review. The SteelBook offers a, well, Void-esque darkness on its outer panels, with a somewhat cheeky "reinterpretation" of what an asterisk might mean on the front and a look at the assembled team on the back. The interior panels feature another photo of the group. A J-card is included, and a digital copy is on the left inside panel.

The apparently inexhaustible minds behind the ever expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe keep finding little nooks and crannies to explore, and if those explorations can understandably seem rote at times, Thunderbolts* has a couple of undeniable positives going for it, including winning performances and what to these tired critical eyes was a refreshing lack of nonstop VFX wonderment. Technical merits are first rate and the supplements very appealing. The SteelBook packaging should appeal to collectors of that format. Recommended.
