Disney and Best Buy have collaborated on a store exclusive SteelBook release for Director Kenneth Branagh’s MCU franchise starter ‘Thor.’ The disc and digital content is identical to that found in the wide release. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section of the review below for more on the SteelBook's look and feel.

Disney's glossy, smooth SteelBook follows in the style of so many previously released UHD MCU Steels, offering a front side that basically takes some
existing artwork and drops it into a battered and tattered looking frame on the front (in fact, while the edge work is different form that seen on the Iron Man, Iron Man 2, and Iron Man 3 SteelBooks, the inside-the-frame wear patterns are
identical). This artwork features title character Thor down on one knee, looking forward in a battle pose, ready to leap towards a foe. His hammer is in
his right hand, its knob on the ground, a blinding electric pulse emanating from it. Four character portraits -- Jane, Loki, Odin, and Heimdall -- appear
above, separated by streaks of light. A dark, cloudy background appears behind Thor. The rear side is simpler in design, featuring only a depiction of
Thor's hammer, Mjöllnir, center, surrounded by a brushed metal, battle worn, and very dark red color. The background wear and tear imagery is
identical to the aforementioned Iron Man SteelBooks. Paramount, Marvel, copyright, and model numbers appear in fine print at the bottom.
The spine carries over that same dark red color with the film's title appearing center. A Paramount logo appears at the top and UHD and Marvel logos
at the bottom.
Inside, the digital copy code is tucked underneath the left-hand-side tabs. The two discs, one UHD and one Blu-ray, are situated on the right in
staggered-stacked formation. The inner print is a two-panel spread that features Thor standing before an assembled Asgard, arrogantly ready to take
the throne from his father. His back is to the camera, raising his right arm, holding Mjöllnir above his head.

This is a nice SteelBook, appropriately sharing aesthetic characteristics with other MCU UHD releases. It's too bad the video and audio presentations aren't better.
