CBS/Paramount has released a massive 24-disc behemoth of a boxed set featuring all five seasons of the original fan-favorite Sci-Fi classic TV series 'The Twilight Zone.' This bundle houses all five of the individual seasons which CBS/Paramount released in 2016. At time of publication those sets have not been reviewed individually, but those discs are identical to those which Image Entertainment released more than a decade ago (see these links for the individual Paramount sets; at time of writing, it is substantially cheaper to buy this full series package than it is to purchase the seasons individually: season one, season two, season three, season four, season five). See below for links to original reviews of each of the five seasons from Image Entertainment and some thoughts on the packaging in the 'Special Features and Extras' section below.

The packaging is the standard that Paramount has used in previous full series releases, such as Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Enterprise. It's a large, clear, oversized clamshell type case
that holds all of the discs on various hubs and leaves. The packaging is frustrating. Discs are mostly organized but it can be a guessing game to sort
out what disc might be buried where; mine arrived opened and unsealed from Amazon with loose discs. It was probably viewed and
returned, and it was an effort to just make sure all of the discs were inside. It is difficult to remove some of the discs from the bottom of the hubs.
Discs are stacked directly one atop the other, usually two high but sometimes three high. Per side and leaf are staggered-stacked large hubs, so it
might require removing as many as 4-5 discs to reach the desired disc. It's a labor to dig around and the full series release in
individual season cases would have been greatly preferable, such as Paramount did with MacGyver and The Andy Griffith Show. Mine did not ship with a slipcover. No DVD or
digital copies are included.

Packaging frustrations aside, this is a very good set. The program is legendary, the video and audio presentations are terrific, and the voluminous supplemental content will keep fans busy for weeks on end. The price, at time of publication hovering around the $50 mark, can't be beat. This set earns my highest recommendation.
