Reviewed by Jeffrey Kauffman November 17, 2023Arrow has been curating interesting collections of Rainer Werner Fassbinder films courtesy of both The Rainer Werner Fassbinder Collection: Volume 1 and The Rainer Werner Fassbinder Collection: Volume 2, and now with this latest third volume. The first two editions offered some of Fassbinder's better known efforts like The Marriage of Maria Braun and The Merchant of Four Seasons, and while this third collection offers titles that will no doubt be known by Fassbinder aficionados, it might present more "cult"-ish productions.

Supplements on each disc are detailed in the above linked reviews. Additionally, the keepcases feature reversible art, and the slipcase encloses a really gorgeously produced perfect bound booklet with several outstanding essays, a glut of stills and other information on the films.
The Rainer Werner Fassbinder Collection: Volume 3 Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation
This particular collection may not have the "marquee value" of the first two Fassbinder collections, but it's a fascinating array of films in its own right. Technical merits are generally solid, and as usual Arrow has aggregated excellent supplements. Recommended.
