The Phantom Planet (1961)

Set in the "distant future" of 1980, The Phantom Planet is a glorious sci-fi trip. Dean Fredericks is an astronaut sent by the government to investigate a mysterious asteroid. Before he can say "B-movie cliché," his ship is caught in a meteor shower, his partner floats away and he is shrunk to the size of the tiny inhabitants of the asteroid.
