The quest of Pride Royal Ivy is something that helps to highlight the charm of the quirky lead character. The character is one on a big journey and she faces a lot of obstacles on her mission forward. This is a huge part of the series – Ivy’s quest – and the role she plays as the lead character in a video game landscape. An RPG world and one with a lot for Pride Royal Ivy to explore. The character is a solid, engaging, and notable lead hero.

The character designs by Hitomi Kōno are also well done and do manage to showcase both Pride Royal Ivy and the supporting characters well. These designs do an impressive job of adapting the original designs and bring something new to the table at the same time. Well-done.

The animation is one of the undeniable highlights of the production. The anime features solid art direction by Teruhiko Niita (The Executioner and Her Way of Life, Aria the Scarlet Ammo). A fun, engaging, and worthwhile art style. The animators did solid work with the series. The anime is impressively colorful and evocative while showcasing the background art and line artwork. The production has a myriad of design elements that are well enhanced by the animators and this is something that makes the results all the more noteworthy.

The cinematography by Miyabi Amada (Love All Play, Odd Taxi: In the Woods) is a highlight, too. The visual landscape of the production is well-done. The cinematography by Amada certainly aids the aesthetic of the series. The visuals are bright, colorful, and well-highlighted by the impressive cinematography.

The score is engaging and a solid backdrop for the comedy and adventure elements. A solid effort by the team.
