HBO and Warner Brothers Home Entertainment released both The Last of Us: The Complete First Season 4K and The Last of Us: The Complete First Season (in 1080) almost two years ago as of the writing of this review. Fans of the series who didn't pick up that first wide release in 4K and/or those who collect SteelBooks might be interested, and maybe there's even a Venn diagram offering an overlap of those two demographics who will go really nuts for this release.

On disc supplements are detailed in the above linked review. The SteelBook design is really rather surprisingly elegant, considering what's being depicted. A matte black background really helps to elevate the front and rear panel illustrations as can be seen in the high res photos I've uploaded to accompany this review. The interior panels feature a photograph of the intrepid duo at the heart of the story. A J Card is included, as shown in two of the screenshots accompanying this review.

I was all around impressed by the wide release of this series in 4K almost two years ago, and this new and to my eyes rather distinctive looking SteelBook should certainly appeal at least to collectors of this packaging format. Highly recommended.
