Warner Brothers and Best Buy have collaborated on this store exclusive SteelBook release for the popular 'The LEGO Batman Movie' animated film. This two-disc set contains the film on 1080p Blu-ray and DVD; it does not include the film on the 4K UHD or Blu-ray 3D formats, and neither were given a SteelBook exclusive. Beyond the packaging, the disc and digital copy are identical to the standard packaging wide release. Please see the 'Special Features and Extras' tab below for more on the SteelBook packaging.

The LEGO Batman Movie's SteelBook is a joy. It's a standout with its dominant yellow coloring, front and back, which is the color of a solid
LEGO brick background with no seams or other pieces anywhere to be found. On the front, a mini figure Bruce Wayne, his face partially cut off at the
bottom, holds up the Batman mask to a centered position. The DC logo sits near its customary top-left position and gives way to the words
"Always be yourself...unless you can be Batman." The film's title appears in a Bat symbol above the mask, with only the word "movie" in white lettering
outside. The rear side is a little less cluttered with only an enlarged Batman symbol appearing center, the same one from the front only a little larger.
The spine breaks up the yellow with a long (~34x2) black LEGO piece running its length. The film's title appears in yellow, a little off-center towards
the
top. Blu-ray, LEGO, and DC logos appear above and a WB shield appears at the bottom.
Inside, the digital copy code is tucked underneath the left-hand side tabs. The Blu-ray and DVD discs are housed on the right, staggered-stacked. The
inner print is a gorgeous two-panel spread featuring a grouping of monitors taking the shape of the Batman symbol, a massive array of visual delights
above various LEGO pieces, all situated somewhere deep within the Bat Cave. A very small credits cluster appears bottom-right along with some
additional logos and legalese.

What a SteelBook! A joy of simplicity, loud but tasteful dominant yellow coloring, a nicely offsetting black spine, and a cool two-panel inner spread make this one of this reviewer's all-time favorite Steels. The film is terrific and the technical and supplemental content rates very highly, too. Very highly recommended.
