The H-Man / Battle in Outer Space Blu-ray Movie Review

This Mill Creek double feature bundles together two Japanese Sci-Fi films from the late 1950s: 'The H-Man' (1958) and 'Battle in Outer Space' (1959). For the former it is the North American Blu-ray debut; for the latter is is the second release in North America to Blu-ray, following Sony's 2018 release which is identical to Mill Creek's, sans little things like menu screen configuration. The H-Man contains no supplements, but Battle in Outer Space brings over the commentary from the Sony disc. Please click here for a brief review of that extra. The discs do ship one per side inside the case on their own hubs and reversible cover art has been included. No DVD or digital copies are included.

The H-Man / Battle in Outer Space Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation 

Mill Creek has put together a good, affordable two-film collection here, which includes each film on its own disc. The presentations are quite good, and in fact Battle in Outer Space is just as good as the Sony disc which costs about double and doesn't include The H-Man. Audio is meh but that's to be expected. A lone commentary for Battle is included. Recommended; this is a great little double bill for cheesy 50s Japanese Sci-Fi cinema.
