The Godfather 4K Blu-ray Movie Review
Reviewed by Martin Liebman October 17, 2022
Paramount has widely released a UHD SteelBook packaging variant for the 1972 masterpiece 'The Godfather.' The disc and digital content is
identical to that found in the wide release. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section of the review below
for
more on the SteelBook's look and feel.

The Godfather 4K Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras

Paramount's SteelBook release of The Godfather is glossy and will show handling fingerprints. On the front is a beautifully rendered portrait of
The Godfather, wearing a tux, holding a cat, with a fiery orange-yellow background. It's very well done. The rear panel is black with a golden colored
quote in large letters, center: "I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse." Logos and legalese stretch across the bottom in the same color. The spine
features the film's title center. A Paramount logo appears at the top and an obnoxiously large UltraHD logo appears at the bottom, all in the same color
as the front and rear text.
Inside, the digital copy code is tucked underneath the left-hand-side tabs. The lone UHD disc is situated on the right on a central hub. The inner print is
a two-panel spread that features a still image collage showing key characters and moments from the film. All are in a bronze coloring.

any of the additional bonuses from the larger collections.
The Godfather 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation

This is a fine looking SteelBook. The front panel artwork is particularly beautiful. The film is, of course, a classic, and the UHD is top-notch. Very highly
recommended for packaging collectors, but serious fans of the film should look into editions with a superior array of bonus content.
