The Expendables 4K Blu-ray Movie Review
Reviewed by Jeffrey Kauffman September 3, 2023
Lionsgate is partnering with Best Buy once again to offer exclusive SteelBook packaging for previously released titles, in this case the trifecta of The Expendables 4K, The Expendables 2 4K, and The Expendables 3 4K (see the seventh photo I've uploaded to accompany this review to view all
three SteelBooks).

For my thoughts on the film, please see my original

As with the original 4K UHD release, that disc sports no supplements. The 1080 disc has the same supplements included in Lionsgate's original release
in that format. My score above reflects the dearth of supplements on the 4K UHD disc, while adding a point for the SteelBook packaging, which
includes a nice matte finish with a slate gray background that offers a somewhat comically "armed" crow on the front and a memorable quote on the
back. There's not a ton to the
interior panels, as can be seen in the fourth photo I've included with this review. A digital copy is included, and as the photos disclose, there's a mylar
0-Ring, in this case in a rather striking red tone.

This 4K UHD upgrade offers subtly improved video and really well done audio, but the 4K UHD disc has no supplements. The SteelBook packaging will
no doubt appeal to collectors, and the three releases together make for a rather handsome collection.
