Lionsgate isn't shy about repackaging its perceived cash cows, and somewhat interestingly in that regard, it's now offered both the Saw 10-Film Collection and this particular collection in packaging that is obviously very similar, down to and including "art cards" which are visible through a window in the slipbox housing the oversized keepcase (where, predictably, stacked discs were all akimbo off of their spindles in the copy I received). It might make a fun archeological "dig" to figure out whether the Saw or The Expendables franchises have had more re-releases from Lionsgate, but it's just a little weird, frankly, to suddenly have both of these collections out in packaging that seems designed to "go together". I guess you could joke that when there's a "saw" around, there are bound to be "expendables", as in various appendages and the like.

Supplements on each disc are detailed in the above linked reviews. I've uploaded several photos of the packaging of this edition so that those interested can see what is being offered. As can be seen in the sixth and seventh photos, the discs are stacked on various spindles in the oversized keepcase. Additionally DVD and digital copies are included, and, as advertised above, art cards are as well.

Lionsgate has rather recently brought out a number of Expendables SteelBooks, and so I'm a little surprised they're going back to the well so soon, especially with this package which is obviously meant to pair with the Saw collection. For fans of this series who haven't invested in any of the previous releases, this offers generally solid technical merits and handsome packaging, though I'd still love to see the Venn Diagram of whatever the intersection is between fans of this franchise and Saw.
