Charles Band's EVIL BONG series is the world's only weed-centric comedy/fantasy film franchise, an insane blend of stoner shenanigans, smutty humor and the sort of insane supernatural monster mayhem fans have come to expect from Full Moon. Presented here in this beautiful stash box collection for the very first time in HD and on Blu-ray, the original 2006 EVIL BONG movie has been fully remastered from the 35mm negative, with brand new visual effects added. It joins its celebrated sequels, many of which are also making their debuts on Blu-ray, along with our sidecar stoner shocker WEEDJIES! and tons of extra space to store upcoming entries in the EVIL BONG series...or whatever else you're trying to hide from your mom. It's the ultimate weed culture cinema collectible.

Marijuana continues to be legalized or at least decriminalized in any number of states (including in Oregon, where I live), so the need for a "stash box" may be a relic of the past, but leave it to the venerable Charles Band to recycle his Evil Bong series with just such a packaging conceit, which does in fact contain two side "vestibules" to hold any, um, extras, with a center section given over to nine Blu-ray discs. Some of the Evil Bong series either have had or are about to have standalone releases, but those wanting the "whole joint" (to paraphrase Spike Lee's use of that term) may want to spring for this admittedly pricey set, if only to also get the stash box itself. The films themselves are a mixed lot, and some may feel that a generous supply of whatever is stored in those side compartments might need to be consumed in order to enjoy things appropriately.

Video quality of each film is assessed in the above linked reviews.

Supplements included on each disc are listed in the above linked reviews. Additionally, the "stash box" itself measures approximately 10.5" wide by 7" deep by 5.5" high (no pun intended).

I have to assume that there's a market for the Evil Bong films, considering that fact that Charles Band continues to pump them out, and so similarly I have to assume that there's a market for this set as well. I personally didn't find any of these films overly funny, and the horror elements are kind of hit or miss, which leaves the naked women, for what they're worth. Technical merits in this set tend to be very good in terms of the video side of things, but there are only lossy audio options on all of the discs. The supplements are occasionally engaging, and the packaging of this release may appeal to some who are considering making a purchase.
