Universal has released an incredible special edition featuring all five 'Boure' films. In addition to the films, this set includes a military-style backpack, a monocular, dog tags, a compass, and a certificate of authenticity. The discs are identical to previous UHD releases. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section of the review below for more on the included goodies.

What is so great about this particular special edition is that several of the items have some very real, tangible, and practical value. It's a set that is
made to be used, not just displayed. The main star, of course, is the backpack. There is no name brand to be found on it, but it is made in China. It is
all black and is of a military/tactical style with MOLLE attachment points all over the place. It's hard to get an exact measurement on an item like a
backpack with a
simple measuring tape, but it measures at, more or less, 20" high, 14" wide, and as far as the depth it lays flat but has plenty of room for expansion.
It
will hold two or three large books, for example, very comfortably in its main compartment. The backpack unzips all the way to the bottom and can
essentially lay flat when entirely unzipped. Inside the main compartment, against the back, is a separate pouch with a mild ecstaticity to the top of it.
On the opposite side are
two
mesh pouches: a larger one on the bottom and a slightly smaller on the top. The one on the bottom has that same ecstaticity to it, but the one on
top
features a zipper running across the top. There are more extra pouches on the outside. On the rear, underneath the straps, there is a large Velcro
pouch that runs nearly the length of the backpack, presumably to maybe hold something like a CamelBak. The outside of the backpack contains two
more pouches. The larger bottom one is zippered and inside is another, smaller pouch and yet another on top of that that is made to hold pens and
small
items like a passport, perhaps. The top pouch is about half the size with nothing else inside. It is also zippered. The straps are heavy duty with a
buckle that comes across the chest. It also has a rugged top handle. It also includes a Velcro tab that says "Bourne," but this is removable.
In addition to the backpack, the set includes a monocular. It is black and ships inside a gray pouch with a yellow cleaning cloth for the lenses. It is
Bourne-branded.
There is no real name brand on it. It is a 16x25 monocular with a 22-degree field of view. It is certainly not a high-end optic, but it gets the job done.
The
image through it is clear and sharp enough, and there is a 1.5-infinity focus ring on it, as well as an eyepiece adjustment ring. The set also includes a
nice compass that can clip onto something, like the
backpack, via a key ring. It is a working compass. It must be held level, and it will point true. It even includes a small level inside to ensure it's
pointing true. The set also includes dog tags, which are more of a collector's item and less of any practical use. Finally, the set includes a certificate of
authenticity.

packaging collection which includes the same UHD film discs and the same Blu-ray bonus disc, and this set includes the same discs.

What a great release! There's so much value here. At time of writing, this set is selling on Amazon for about $75. It's a great deal at that price, but just recently it was down to $40. At that price it's an absolute steal, even for those who already own the discs. The backpack by itself is probably worth around that much alone, even if there is no brand name on it's still of a very nice quality. The monocular, dog tags, and compass are just icing on the cake. These are certainly not extremely high end items, but in the $40-$80 range they are well worth the price. This is a rare special edition that is absolutely worth every penny at the current $75 mark and especially below. Highly recommended!
