Universal and Best Buy have collaborated on a store exclusive SteelBook release for the classic 1980 John Landis film 'The Blues Brothers.' The disc and digital content is identical to that found in the wide release. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section of the review below for more on the SteelBook's look and feel.

Jake and Elwood claim to be on "a mission from God" so it's unsurprising to find them immortalized as if on a stained glass window for their UHD
SteelBook debut. On the front, the pair are seen dancing in their trademark attire -- black suit, black tie, black hat, black shoes, white socks, white shirt
-- in front of a sunburst-style background with streaks of blue and yellow emanating out from behind them. Some puffy clouds with purple accents
appear below along the bottom quarter or so area. The film's title appears above in a mild arch in white lettering. The rear panel is essentially the
same,
minus the title and the characters, the latter replaced by a forward-facing image of the BluesMobile, plus loudspeaker. The front and rear panels are
smooth but not necessarily
fingerprint magnets. The spine is relatively simple, featuring a steady blue color. The film's title appears in white letters, center, and a Universal logo
has
been placed at the bottom.
Inside, the digital copy code is tucked underneath the left-hand-side tabs. The two discs, one UHD and one Blu-ray, are situated on the right in
staggered-stacked formation. The inner print is a two-panel spread that features a simple image of the Elwood and Jake, facing off, the former on the
far left and the latter on the far right. A blurry gray-dominant city street background element appears behind them around the middle area.

What a film, what a UHD! The Blues Brothers never grows old or wears thin, and this UHD presentation breathes brand new life to into the movie. It's a treat, as is the SteelBook, which looks great inside and out. Very highly recommended.
