Reviewed by Martin Liebman November 12, 2017Sony has released both Marc Webb 'Amazing Spider-Man' films to the UHD format with 2160p/HDR-enhanced video and Dolby Atmos audio. Note that 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' is available individually, but 'The Amazing Spider-Man' is not. For this DigiBook, the studio has merely recycled the June 2017 1080p DigiBook release and made space for the new UHD discs. Read on for more information.

There's a ton of content here, but it's all been merely carried over on the bundled Blu-ray discs, which are identical to the June 2017 DigiBook release. Each UHD disc does contain "cast and crew" photo tabs and movie clip "moments". All of the artwork is essentially the same, inside and out, only making the necessary changes to reflect and accommodate the included UHD content. Fans who wish to own the Marc Webb Amazing Spider-Man films on the UHD format have two options: this set and the Best Buy exclusive SteelBook set, which bundles in the Sam Raimi films for good measure. Since this DigiBook is essentially identical to the June 2017 release, fans who already bought that set might want to opt for the SteelBook. For newcomers, this is a very attractive and desirable package; the DigiBook is one of the finest on the market. Very highly recommended.
