Terrifying Girls’ High School: Lynch Law Classroom is an action-thriller exploitation feature. The Japanese style Grindhouse film is a must-see for genre fans. Produced by Kanji Amao (Bullet Train, Yakuza Law). Released by Tôei.
Noriko Kazama (Miki Sugimoto) is a gang leader looking for some serious answers following the death of a student. Things turn out far more sinister than expected – teachers who may have been involved, the students involved, and corrupt police – the entire story shrouded in scandal. Noriko decides it is time to fight against the villains of the story and join forces with previous rivals to seek vengeance for the lost life of a fellow student.
The supporting cast of characters includes Maki Takigawa (Reiko Ike), Kyôko Kubo (Seiko Saburi), Remi Kitano (Misuzu Ôta), and Junko Kimihara (Rie Saotome). The ensemble does a good job with their respective roles. The performances are impressive across the board. Miki Sugimoto is especially compelling in the leading role as Noriko Kazama.

The score composed by Masao Yagi (Criminal Woman: Killing Melody, Yakuza Law) is well-done throughout. The music plays a big role in the filmmaking. The score adds energy and excitement to the feature-film.
The cinematography by Jûhei Suzuki (13 Assassins, Terrifying Girls' High School: Women's Violent Classroom) is beautiful and a sight to behold. The visual splendor of the filmmaking plays an essential role in the production. Suzuki made a lush and gorgeous looking feature-film with plenty of absorbing visuals throughout.
Edited by Kôzô Horiike (Samurai Wolf, The Street Fighter), Terrifying Girls’ High School: Lynch Law Classroom is well paced. The editing flows well throughout the entire feature. The action scenes certainly feel well cut and interspersed with the dramatic scenes.
The production designs by Yoshimitsu Amamori (Female Yakuza Tale: Inquisition and Torture, The Valiant Red Peony) are impressive and add to the visual sensibilities of the filmmaking. The film certainly has a distinct Grindhouse style aesthetic while feeling experimental at the same time. A well-done effort by Amamori.
The screenplay by Tatsuhiko Kamoi (Graveyard of Honor, Girl Boss: Diamond Showdown) is well-written and has some fun surprises in store for audiences. The genre storytelling allows for plenty of kick-ass moments and momentum. The script is fun, edgy, and feels like an over-the-top Grindhouse film.
Directed by Norifumi Suzuki (Terrifying Girls' High School: Women's Violent Classroom, Hot Springs Earthworm Geisha), Terrifying Girls’ High School: Lynch Law Classroom feels as though it takes inspiration from the works of French New Wave (Godard especially) while being an extravagant Grindhouse thriller, too. Terrifying Girls’ High School: Lynch Law Classroom is well-directed fun and certainly a fun chapter in the saga.

Released on Blu-ray by Discotek Media, Terrifying Girls' High School: Lynch Law Classroom is presented in 1080p MPEG-4 AVC encoded high-definition in the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1 widescreen. The high-definition transfer looks excellent overall. There are some occasional specks and minor print wear and damage but the transfer looks crisp and clear for the most part. This is a pleasing and cinematic looking transfer of the film. A well done encode by Discotek Media.

The release is presented with Japanese uncompressed PCM 2.0 (with English subtitles). The lossless audio quality sounds crisp and clear on the release. Dialogue is well reproduced. The soundstage is excellent. The subtitles are well-done and are free from egregious spelling or grammatical errors.

The first print run of the release includes an o-card slipcover. The slipcover features unique key artwork from the artwork highlighted underneath the slipcover.
