A nasty schoolgirl does what she pleases, under the protection of her father, who is the school principal. Another girl is not so nasty, but she is determined and tough enough to contest the girl's gang in a democratic vote - and win. That causes her trouble in school, just when her own father, who owns a truck transport company, is murdered in a fake car accident by an American mobster. Before the girl can react, her naive mother has signed over the company to the mobster, and accepted him as her lover. Repentant, the mother starts drinking, and the good schoolgirl ties up with a halfbreed young man, who also has a grudge against Americans. He starts spying on the gangsters, discovers they are dealing in drugs, but is killed before he can report it. The good girl will lead her team in a desperation assault on the mobsters - and the police will eventually arrive just in time for the showdown.

Terrifying Girls’ High School: Delinquent Convulsion Group is a action-thriller drama in the franchise. The exploitation franchise takes on a somewhat more serious note in this genre bending thrill ride. Released by Tôei.
Takako Nonaka, Good Schoolgirl (Reiko Ike) is one of the school leaders – not only is she from a successful family and comes from money – Takako is the newly elected Crimson Rose Society leader. Yet when tragedy and conspiracy cause family chaos, Takako loses money, status, and fame – becoming a student who can’t even stay in the same classroom as the Crimson Rose Society. Relegated to the classroom of students attending on charitable donations, Takako forms “The Raptors” as a new all-girl group. Now Takako is determined to figure out who was responsible for her downfall and defeat them all. A battle stage is set.
The supporting cast of characters includes Linda Yamazaki, Bad Schoolgirl (Yûko Kanô) and PTA.'s Chairperson Yûsaku Hayami (Hiroshi Nawa). The lead performance by Reiko Ike is exceptional – something about her vengeance stare is especially compelling. The performance is expressive, intense, and engaging. The supporting cast does a good job as well. The ensemble feels well-rounded and it aids the production.

The score composed by Ichirô Araki (Sex & Fury, Girl Boss: Escape from Reform School) is engaging and one of the best components of the Grindhouse style feature. The score has terrific atmosphere and is consistently engaging throughout. The music plays a big role in the filmmaking and aids the character storytelling, too.
The cinematography by Shigeru Akatsuka (Golgo 13: Assignment Kowloon, The Red Silk Gambler) is lush and beautiful. The visuals are essential to the storytelling. The cinematography is remarkable and it is pleasing throughout – aiding the Grindhouse genre element in spades.
The screenplay by Masakazu Shimura (Girl Boss: Diamond Showdown, The Street Fighter's Last Revenge) and Norifumi Suzuki (Sex & Fury, Girl Boss: Revenge) is interesting and well-done. The script aims for a balance between a more traditional drama and genre elements like found in the other features in the franchise. The Grindhouse style storytelling is still a huge part of the film (especially in the second half) but there is a more solemn and dramatic storytelling style that aims for something a bit more complex. Though the script isn’t always successful it is an engaging story and the ambition is clear.
Directed by Masakazu Shimura (Terrifying Girls' High School: Animal Classmates, The Yagyu Clan Conspiracy), Terrifying Girls’ High School: Delinquent Convulsion Group is another worthwhile installment in the film series. Terrifying Girls’ High School: Delinquent Convulsion Group is an entertaining genre film and one that has high ambitions with dramatic turns, too. A well-done production.

Released on Blu-ray by Discotek Media, Terrifying Girls' High School: Delinquent Convulsion Group is presented in 1080p MPEG-4 AVC encoded high-definition in the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1 widescreen. The high-definition transfer is nicely filmic and cinematic. The transfer capably showcases the cinematography. The encoding by Discotek Media is well done.

The release is presented in Japanese uncompressed PCM 2.0 (with English subtitles). The lossless audio is clear and easy to understand. Dialogue is crisp and clear throughout. The audio dynamics are well done. The score is well reproduced. The English subtitles are well-done and free from egregious spelling or grammatical errors.

The release includes a nicely designed o-card slipcover. The slipcover features unique key artwork from the art highlighted underneath the slipcover.
