Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 4K Blu-ray Movie Review
Shell out for this one.
Reviewed by Randy Miller III December 12, 2023
Released alongside both the separate 4K and Blu-ray editions, Paramount has also issued a Steelbook variant of this year's surprisingly pretty solid
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. The good news is two-fold: not only is this an easy way to get both formats in one package,
but it's not a store exclusive and thus (presumably) much easier to find than most Steelbooks. Otherwise, all on-disc contents are identical to
the standard versions above.

For a synopsis of the main feature, please read Martin Liebman's separate but similar reviews of either standard edition linked above. As my slightly
higher score indicates, I responded to
Mutant Mayhem a bit more warmly; the story didn't exactly reinvent the wheel or anything, but its
outstanding character designs and animation scratched a
very particular itch on the visual side of my brain so I enjoyed it more than expected
in theaters. Also,
Jackie Chan.

Both the included 4K and Blu-ray discs include identical Dolby Atmos mixes as the default option, as well as several foreign dubs and associated subtitle
tracks, during the movie and select bonus features. For more information, please see Marty's separate reviews of either the wide-release 4K or Blu-ray
editions.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 4K Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras

This two-disc release ships in a glossy Steelbook with attractive design elements throughout. Its front cover depicts the familiar "skateboard"
poster seen in theaters, while the back image features all four Turtles up close and personal. Inside, the comparatively more straightforward interior
spread features our heroes in a four-paneled grid on the left side with the main "villains" getting the same treatment on the other. A totally tubular
design overall.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation

Jeff Rowe and Kyler Spears' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem was a breath of fresh air for this TMNT fan; its story may
not be near the Spider-Verse, but at least it looks the part. Its visual and sonic delights translate nicely to home video, and this
Steelbook combo pack is a great option for those who want both formats in package. (One for the parents, one for the kids.) Unfortunately the extras
come up short in both quantity and quality, especially considering the creative path its animators took in bringing Mutant Mayhem to
life. Still Recommended, obviously.
