Disney / Buena Vista is offering this SteelBook edition of Tron: Ares, a release which evidently proved initially popular enough that Amazon was declaring it out of stock (as of the writing of this review, it looks like they'll be able to fulfil orders in 1 to 2 days). Other than packaging, this matches Disney / Buena Vista's TRON: Ares 4K wide release in standard packaging which was reviewed a couple of weeks ago (see below).

On disc supplements are detailed in the above linked review.
The SteelBook has evocative design elements which emphasize black, red and blue tones in particular. While not traditionally "embossed", slightly
changing the angle of the SteelBook in light reveals some kind of cool "glossy" additions to part of the imagery, notably some of what might be called
the "geometric" elements on the front panel and all of the wider red imagery on the rear panel. The interior panels offer a rendition of one of the
lightcycle sequences (see hi res photo number 2). A J card folds over the top of the front panel and offers traditional credits and a summary on the
rear (see hi res photos 4 and 5). A digital copy is also included.

SteelBook collectors should find this a really nicely designed addition to their collections, even if they may not feel the film itself is a knockout. One way or the other, as I mentioned in my original review of Disney / Buena Vista's wide 4K release in standard packaging, this is incredible looking and sounding, and the on disc supplements are also very enjoyable, for anyone who may be considering making a purchase.
