It's no accident that Supernatural aired for 15 seasons. It's really good stuff in sum, and in today's stuffed television market in which innumerable TV options run rampant, that's quite the accomplishment. The show, created by Eric Kripke, debuted in fall 2005 and carried on without missing a beat; even the best shows struggle to hold onto what made them amongst the best as time marches forward, but not so with Supernatural. And even at the end of the road, there remained a creative energy on the screen, a clear passion for the project, and certainly no give from fans to determine that this was the time for the show to shut down production. Praise the show for its longevity, yes, but also for coming to a close on its own terms, in a way that satisfies story, characters, and the emotional tenor that coursed through the show, ending as it should have ended (though as with any show some loud fan objections were heard) rather than ending because it had to end. With the Blu-ray release of its 15th and final season, Warner Brothers has released an epic 15-season, 58-disc set that spans the entirety of the Supernatural franchise. The set is handsomely packaged, and even if there's really nothing new, per se, it's a box that is built like a tank and houses a gem of a show. See below for induvial links to all 15 seasons, which are recreated herein just as they have been released to Blu-ray over the years, and see the "Special Features and Extras" section of the review below for more on the box's look and feel.

Supernatural's massive box set ships in a two-piece box that is sturdily built and printed with a glossy full color finish. The closed box
measures at approximately 7" high, 7.5" wide, and 6.25" deep; it's big but it's not a monstrosity. Glued onto the outer box is a "J-Card" type overly
that on the back matter includes the usual content assortment: a blurb, product photos, stills, special features listings, tech specs, legalese, and
more. The front of the box features the Impala driving down an empty Midwestern road. The entire scene is a warm bronze color (as is the majority
of the box itself). Above the horizon is a sky with a half-ring of fire filling the center area and the show's title, along with "The Complete Series" text,
appearing at the top. The words "Good times. Bad times. End times." appear bottom. The sides simply wrap around with a continuation of this same
image. The rear panel
features forward-facing portraits depicting Sam and Dean from about the knees up and with the fiery ring behind them. The top of the box features
the full fire ring with the show's title center. This outer shell lifts off to reveal an inner box (and the bottom) that is simply a blank black color. Inside
of it are seven extra-thick Amaray cases housing the fifteen seasons. There's nothing special here in terms of how the discs themselves are packaged
or presented. Each case includes identical front and spine imagery but each set includes a different rear side still. There is no inner print
artwork.
Included inside are a few items. First is a standard digital copy code sheet; one code redeems the entire series. The season 15 bonus disc is housed
in a simple two-panel sleeve which features basic season 15 artwork -- primarily a pentagram -- against a warm, gradating color. The rear panel
includes special features listing, a couple of photos, tech specs, and legalese. The disc slips in and out of a built-in sleeve on the inner right panel.
The inner panel depicts the Winchester brothers inside the Impala. The main attraction is a thick, glossy, full color booklet inside of which are dozens
of full color photos, a letter to the fans written by Eric Kripke in December 2020, a December 2020 note written to the fans by Bob Singer, and
episode
summaries and special features listings for every episode of every season.

Supernatural fans: this is it. While there's not a lot of fuss and not a lot of reason for those who have already accumulated the first 14 seasons (this set ships alongside season 15) to buy this, it's a very attractive option for the newcomers looking to acquire the entire series in one go. Die-hards might see it as a must-buy, too. The box is sturdy and looks nice. There's not much to it inside, as if 15 seasons, dozens of Blu-ray discs, great video and audio, and one of the best shows of the past several decades doesn't count. Ultimately, this is a nice, attractive, streamlined set that will be a centerpiece of any TV show Blu-ray collection. Highly recommended.
