Note: This SteelBook is available as part of Superman I-IV 5-Film Collection 4K.
Superman really is the Man of Steel, or at least of
SteelBooks with regard to
this collection, which Warner Brothers Home Entertainment has released in this specialized packaging along with its standard packaging release that I reviewed a few weeks ago. This
particular
release does include some non disc swag that the standard package didn't, which may make it attractive even to collectors who aren't especially "into"
SteelBooks.

Supplements on each disc are detailed in the above linked reviews. Additionally, this has the most "inventive" and/or "annoying" (depending on your reaction) packaging in this set, with both versions of the film offered in one SteelBook, which, as shown in screenshot 3, offers "dueling" covers at 180 degree angles to each other, I guess so you can choose which one you prefer. This is the only SteelBook in this set to offer two interior photos, again at 180 degree oppositional directions, as seen in screenshot 5 and 6.
Superman II is just good, old fashioned fun, and it is my own personal favorite among the Reeve Superman films. I'm somewhat less fond of Richard Donner's cut, though of course individual mileage may vary. This SteelBook offers and "either/or" set of cover images, though the spine printing obviously only goes in one direction which may drive certain obsessive types a little nuts (ahem).
