This SteelBook edition of The Mandalorian and Grogu kind of toes a price tag line between Disney's Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu 4K wide release in standard packaging and the (much) more expensive Beskar Collector's Edition which looks like it includes this SteelBook along with a coterie of other items. The disc contents mirror those found on the wide release in standard packaging (which, like this release, also contains a 1080 disc).

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu 4K Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras 

On disc supplements are detailed in the above linked review. This SteelBook offers what I'd term an okay if hardly revelatory design aesthetic, with (of course) the titular pair featured on the front panel, though with Grogu perhaps less prominently shown than may have been expected. Other supporting players / performers varying from Sigourney Weaver to those lovable (?) Hutts are seen in a kind of golden yellow wash extending down toward the bottom of the panel. The back panel features a Mudhorn signet which the internets informed has a special high gloss finish, though changing the angle under a light didn't reveal any significant differences to me. The interior panels feature the titular duo again. A digital copy is included, and a J card wraps around the top of the SteelBook (see the fifth photo).

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation 

Those who managed to stick with all three seasons of The Mandalorian will probably enjoy this even given some of its deficits, and of course Grogu is inarguably one of the most adorable characters in the entire Star Wars canon. This release of course duplicates the excellent technical merits of the wide 4K release, along with some enjoyable on disc supplements. The SteelBook struck me as a little on the "meh" side, without a really compelling design aesthetic, though of course individual tastes will no doubt vary. With caveats both in my original review and this one noted, Recommended.
