Star Trek VII: Generations (1994)

Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of the Enterprise-D become ensnared in the deadly plan of a madman, Soran, as he plots to destroy an entire planet to summon the energy ribbon known as the Nexus. In an explosive battle, Picard is thrown in the Nexus and comes face-to-face with Captain Kirk, who has been trapped for decades.
