Paramount has released a budget, value-friendly, complete collection, ten-disc release of the entire run of 'Star Trek: Lower Decks,' the off kilter and off-the wall 'lighter side of 'Star Trek' animated series. The disc and digital content is identical throughout the entire run to all of the previously issued discs form the individual seasons one, two, three, four, and five Blu-ray releases. Star Trek: Lower Decks - The Complete Series Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras 

For this ten disc full series run of Star Trek: Lower Decks, Paramount has released the series in a thick, but otherwise standard, Amaray style case. The relatively small footprint of the set means it doesn't have to ship in Paramount's bulkier, cumbersome, and unreliable larger cases that many Star Trek fans will undoubtedly be familiar with. In this set, every disc ships on its own hub with no disc stacking and with no discs in a staggered-stacked configuration. It's simple, reliable, and economical. This set saves shelf space and saves money, too, simplifying the Lower Decks experience in many ways.

Star Trek: Lower Decks - The Complete Series Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation 

Lower Decks didn't start well, but it grew on me. As a classic "Trekkie" this off-kilter turn on classic material was a little jarring, but it really moved into its own in later seasons with superior stories, good character development, and a few nifty ideas to go along with its sometimes very smart, clever, and fan-serving parodies of the Trek universe. I'd really love to see more Star Trek animation, but maybe something more "serious" and less "sophomoric." Still, I think most "Trekkies" will find the show to be more enjoyable than now than it was out of the gate. This is a rather simple budget Blu-ray complete series set that offers all ten discs in one convenient package. Video, audio, and supplemental quality are solid. Recommended.
