The support crew serving on one of Starfleet's least important ships, the U.S.S. Cerritos, have to keep up with their duties, often while the ship is being rocked by a multitude of sci-fi anomalies.

Paramount has released a ten disc, two SteelBook complete series Blu-ray release for the animated show Star Trek: Lower Decks. The disc and digital content is identical to the individual season releases (see links below) as well as the ten disc standard packaging full series release. This is a nice collection that will satisfy both packaging enthusiasts and fans of the series alike.

Star Trek: Lower Decks has something of a strange history on Blu-ray. Season one released with a very nice SteelBook to go alongside the standard option, but since then, it's been radio silence on the Lower Decks SteelBook front.
Until now. Paramount has released an attractive two SteelBook, ten-disc set, nestled inside a slip box, that features all five seasons in one place.
The slip box features the same front panel artwork as found on the standard
packaging full series release, but the treat is on the reverse side where buyers will find an edge-to-edge and top-to-bottom collage of thumbnail
images from throughout the series (an info sheet held on with a dab of glue is also included).
The SteelBooks look terrific. The front and rear panels share a common theme on both SteelBooks: main characters Beckett Mariner, Brad Boimler,
D'Vana Tendi, and Sam Rutherford on transporter pads, seemingly mid-beam, each holding a unique item and, in Boimler's case, somehow floating
midair. A Starfleet logo appears in the background. There is no text front or back on either Steelbook. The spines share a common design cue with a
purple background, the show's title center, a CBS Blu-ray logo at the top, and a Paramount logo at the bottom.
The SteelBook interiors likewise feature Beckett Mariner, Brad Boimler, D'Vana Tendi, and Sam Rutherford, this time in stylized renditions similar to that
famous poster of Spock from Star Trek III (one of the things I've always liked about the art from
Lower Decks is its not-so-subtle homage to classic Trek imagery). Lastly, a postcard-sized print is also included featuring, again, the
quartet of Beckett Mariner, Brad Boimler, D'Vana Tendi, and Sam Rutherford on the transporter pad, featuring an imprint signature by all four voice
actors.

While it would have been nice -- and maybe even preferable -- to see Paramount keep those individual season SteelBooks coming to pair with that (now) odd man out season one outing, I can't argue with how much I'm enjoying this full series SteelBook presentation. It's efficient, attractive, and for my money the best way to own the series on Blu-ray. We have this and The Original Series on SteelBook...Parmaount, can we please get more "complete" Star Trek content in SteelBook packaging?
