CBS/Paramount and Best Buy have collaborated on a store exclusive SteelBook release for Star Trek: Discovery - Season Two. The disc and digital content is identical to that found in the wide release. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section of the review below for more on the SteelBook's look and feel.

Discovery's season two SteelBook highlights the season's key mystery on its front panel. The familiar Federation "A"-style logo is presented on
the front made of red lines. Along various points are the seven symbols that are prominently critical to the narrative throughout the season, and in the
middle is a faint, slightly blurry depiction of the "Red Angel." This is all against a smooth, fingerprint attracting black background. The show's title
appears at the bottom, center. The words "Star Trek Discovery" are debossed; the words "Season Two" are not. The rear panel depicts the
Discovery
flying through the cosmos. A bright red color appears above the ship, as does a large planet and perhaps a comet. Below the ship the red quickly fades
to black, but one can see small space rocks floating about. Streaks of intense red light highlight and emanate from key parts of the ship. A rather large
white "SteelBook" logo and faint legalese appear at the bottom. The spine is a flat black color. The show's title runs much of the length. A CBS logo
appears at the top while Blu-ray and Paramount logos may be seen at the bottom.
Inside, discs one and four appear on their own hubs on the front and rear panels, respectively. Discs two and three are situated on either side of a
folding leaf affixed to the spine. The inner print is a two-panel spread that features Michael Burnham on the left, looking leftward in front of a teal
colored background. Opposite of her on the other panel is Spock, looking to the right, also in front of a teal panel. These are the same images that
appear on disc one and two's artwork.

This is a handsome SteelBook. The front is simple and tells the season's core story within a familiar symbol. The rear panel beauty shot is pleasing. The inner panels are a little generic, though, simply recycling disc artwork. The on-disc content is fairly good. Recommended.
