Spider-Man 3 Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras

Spider-Man 3's 2012 release contains all of the extras from disc one of the original 2007 release. However, it does NOT include the second
bonus disc included in that set (and also included in the 2013 boxed set). A now expired UV digital copy code is
included with purchase.
- Audio Commentary: Director Sam Raimi and Actors James Franco, Kirsten Dunst, Tobey Maguire, Topher Grace, Bryce Dallas Howard,
and Thomas Haden Church offer a fun, sometimes boisterous, but generally insightful track that covers characterization, plot, series progression,
acting
in a third film with established relationships, action, crafting various scenes, praising one another's work, and much more.
- Audio Commentry: Producers Avi Arad, Grant Curtis, and Laura Ziskin; Visual Effects Supervisor Scott Stokdyk; and Editor
Bob
Murawski deliver a track that plays in stark contrast to the last. It's less dynamic and "fun" but it is more substantive as they dive into a fairly
intricate
examination of the filmmaking process, including visual effects. These are good, complimentary tracks that offer insight from two largely unique
perspectives that do tie
together on many occasions.
- Bloopers (1080i, 6:43): Funny moments from the shoot.
- Galleries (1080p, 19:11): Still images set to music with the usual color button controls.
- Music Video (1080i, 4:35): "Signal Fire" by Snow Patrol.
- Previews (1080p): Additional Sony titles.
Spider-Man 3 Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation

The oft-debated Spider-Man 3 is generally regarded as the "least" of the Tobey Maguire films, but still enjoys a few highlights. The Blu-ray is
fine, technically, but lacks the second disc of extras from the 2007 and 2013 sets. Pick up one of those instead (the 2013 set being the better bet).
