The Nerdlucks, a gang of space creatures, have been dispatched by their boss to kidnap Bugs Bunny and his Looney Tunes cohorts. Bugs challenges the aliens to a basketball tournament: if the Looney Tunes win, they'll remain on Earth. Bugs knows he needs some serious help, but basketball's best players are all having their skills "absorbed" by the aliens. Of course, there's a baseball player he happens to know...

Space Jam is an entertaining family-film combining basketball with Looney Tunes (and there is much to appreciate about that unique combination). The storyline focuses on an epic basketball game involving Bugs Bunny and other Looney Tunes pals as the characters reach out to retired basketball super-star Michael Jordan to help win the game. Can Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny team up and become the heroes of the basketball court?
Featuring a screenplay by Leo Benvenuti (Space Jam: A New Legacy), Steve Rudnick (The Santa Clause), Timothy Harris (Trading Places), and Herschel Weingrod (Twins), Space Jam is full of entertaining family-fun. Directed by Joe Pytka (Let It Ride), fans of Looney Tunes won't want to overlook this mash-up. There's even a score composed by the brilliant James Newton Howard (King Kong, The Sixth Sense).
Time to jam!

The exclusive collectors edition comes in collectible steelbook packaging. The release has a nice glossy print quality and the design has a premium quality finish that far exceeds that of lower-print quality matte steelbooks. The front-image features a photo showing Michael Jordan alongside Bugs Bunny on a basketball court. The design is simple but highly effective. The inside art-work has a nice illustration of Bugs Bunny which also enhances the steelbook presentation. A nice release for fans of the film.

Space Jam is a fun family film with cartoon-antics and plenty of heart. Fans of the Looney Tunes (and Michael Jordan!) will be pleased with the unique formula. The 4K UHD release includes a stunning steelbook and fans will be sure to want to pick it up. Recommended.
