Available alongside their standard 4K edition, Paramount also offers this Limited Edition 4K Steelbook of Trey Parker's 1999 animated musical South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut, which arrived in theaters only two years after the hugely popular series debuted on Comedy Central. On-disc contents are exactly the same on both versions.

For details about video quality, see Justin Dekker's recent review of the standard standard 4K edition.

Likewise, details about the audio for both formats can be found at the above-linked review.

Paramount's glossy Steelbook plays it pretty safe by simply recycling the same posted-themed cover design found on earlier Blu-ray releases. I'm not a huge fan of this text-heavy design as this colorful franchise deserves something a bit more creative, but I do like the back cover's depiction of our heroes preparing for war. Inside is a splash image of the boys and other familiar audience members enjoying Asses of Fire. Overall it's a passable packaging job, aside from the fairly bland cover -- I'd have greatly preferred this one used for the old DVD and VHS editions.
As for the extras, they're identical to the standard 4K edition.

Trey Parker's 1999 animated musical South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut, which he wrote alongside series co-creator Matt Stone and their frequent collaborator Pam Brady, was released less than two years after the series' premiere on Comedy Central. It was well-received by fans, did great business at the box office, and was even nominated for a Best Original Song Oscar ("Blame Canada", which sadly lost out to Phil Collins' "You'll Be in My Heart" from Tarzan). Uncut's reputation is still strong as the franchise's only theatrical movie, despite the series tackling multi-part storytelling and hour-long specials several times since then, and so it's well-deserving of Paramount's UHD upgrade. The standard 4K edition should be fine enough for most but this Steelbook will obviously appeal to collectors.
