Disney and Best Buy have collaborated on a store exclusive UHD SteelBook release for Pixar's 2020 film 'Soul.' The disc and digital content is identical to that found in the wide release. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section of the review below for more on the SteelBook's look and feel.

Soul's SteelBook is smooth and slick but the light color scheme will not show an excess of handling fingerprints. The front panel is textless. It
simply shows Joe Gardner walking across piano keys as if they formed an unevenly laid bridge. The New York skyline appears behind him with sunlight
bathing the background, heavy on the top left but filtering through to give the background a golden-yellow coloration. The same image carries over
across the spine, which simply features the film's title, with accompanying "Disney Pixar" text, center and an UltraHD logo at the top. The rear panel
sees the image continue with the cat that Joe inhabits walking along the piano keys as well with more cityscape and yellow sky backgrounds in view.
Beyond a small copyright notice bottom left and a model number bottom right, there is no text on the rear.
Inside, the digital copy code floats; there are no left hand panels to hold it down. The three discs, two Blu-ray and one UHD, are inside, one disc on its
own hub on the left and the other two on the right in staggered-stacked formation. The inner panel is home to a two-panel spread that offers a broad,
and very blue, view of the "Hall of Everything," a key location in the Great Before. A splash of color can be seen on some objects at ground level,
including bushes, a cello, and a merry-go-round horse. It's the same layout as seen in the movie.

It's nice to find that Soul's SteelBook design was not phoned in. The feeling of forward movement and journey, set against the city and with the Jazz piano playing prominently in the image, perfectly captures the film's essence. The inner panel is nice, but maybe something like this would have been a more effective image. Regardless, it's very nice in sum. The movie is great as is the UHD presentation. Very highly recommended.
