Paramount and Best Buy have collaborated on a store exclusive SteelBook release for the live action/digital hybrid video game-based film 'Sonic the Hedgehog.' The disc and digital content is identical to that found in the wide release. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section of the review below for more on the SteelBook's look and feel.

The smooth, glossy, fingerprint-prone Sonic the Hedgehog SteelBook features no embossing or debossing work. The layout is very simple. The
front cover depicts Sonic in frame-filling facial and upper torso close-up. He is looking forward with a wry smile on his face. His left hand appears
bottom right with his index finger pointing in a general forward direction. The film's title appears top center, filling about a quarter, maybe a fifth, of the
front. The background is blue. On the rear is Jim Carrey's Dr. Robotnik, also in a frame-filling facial and upper torso close-up. He is looking devilishly
handsome and, well, just plain devilish as he peers forward. The background is red. A Sega logo appears bottom left and a Paramount logo and
small type legalese appear bottom right. The spine is a glossy black color. The film's title appears center. A Paramount logo has been placed at the top.
UHD and Blu-ray logos, as well as "2-Disc Set" text, appear at the bottom.
Inside, the digital copy code (and an ad for Sonic games and merchandise) is tucked underneath the left-hand-side tabs. The two discs, one
UHD and one Blu-ray, are situated on the right in
staggered-stacked formation. The inner print is a two-panel spread that features Sonic appearing almost entirely on the left-hand side, running towards
the left with a
bright blue streak behind him. On the right is a dusk cityscape.

comic book referenced in the linked review.
There's nothing overly special about the Sonic SteelBook. It looks fine and focuses firmly on its hero and villain. It won't stand out on the shelf, but at least the content within is quite good. UHD picture and sound will please and there's just the right allotment of extras, too. Recommended.
