Shenanigans are afoot in 1985’s “Slip Into Silk,” which begins with seductive activities at a radio station and graduates to more of a blackmail plot, bringing some structure to this collection of adult cinema highlights. The story isn’t advanced, but the production is clearly having a little fun with this endeavor, with plenty of screen time devoted to the actors and their special way of working through scenes. “Slip Into Silk” gets a little peculiar at times, especially when director R. Michael Stringer goes random and permissive with his editing, but it’s an entertaining sit, presenting just enough silliness to charm and plenty of heated encounters.
The AVC encoded image (1.33:1 aspect ratio) is sourced from a 2K scan of the 16mm interpositive. Colors are most exciting here, with bright blues in radio station interiors, and red makeup distinct. Style also brings out bold primaries. Skin tones are natural. Detail is good, with a nice sense of skin particulars on the performers, and costuming is fibrous. Interiors retain a sense of decoration and equipment in the station. Delineation is satisfactory. Grain is nicely resolved. Source is in fine condition, with some wear.
The 2.0 DTS-HD MA track offers a simple understanding of dialogue exchanges, with performance choices appreciable, along with sexual response. Scoring supports with clarity, adding jazzy moods.

Plans to ruin Harry emerge in the second half of "Slip Into Silk," which includes a hidden camera and a debut screening at some type of advertiser shindig, with the details of it all left to the imagination. All the viewer needs to see is a bunch of older men in suits outraged by such activity they'd love to participate in, which is about as far as the storytelling gets here. The rest of "Slip Into Silk" is devoted to the actors and their semi-improvisational ways, generating some unpredictability to the amusing endeavor.
