Lionsgate is partnering with Best Buy for another exclusive SteelBook release. See below for details.

On disc supplements are detailed in the above linked review. Additionally this SteelBook packaging offers some photorealistic (ish?) art of the principal protagonist and antagonist, though somewhat hilariously as you can see from the photos I've uploaded to accompany this review, my personal mylar O ring had the knife going through the Nazi's head, whereas the stock picture of the cover that is on this page has it going through Sisu's head, so I guess it's up to you whom you want to wound. I guess the case could be made from the "Sisu side" that he's brandishing the blade in front of him. Joking aside, the imagery is nicely rendered on the matte finish with a somewhat uncharacteristic gold-yellow look (at least considering the ice cold blues that suffuse the actual film). The inside photo is not especially remarkable. Additionally, a digital copy is included, per the standard packaging release.

Sisu doesn't really waste any time on trying to develop characters or offer an overly complex plot, but that's probably part of its visceral appeal. If Quentin Tarantino offered a somewhat hyperbolic denouement for some notable Nazis in Inglourious Basterds, you can almost imagine this film's writer and director Jalmari Helander saying, "Hold my Sahti ale" as the film documents Aatami and some other supposedly "underdog" Finns delivering some significant comeuppance. Technical merits are solid and the supplements enjoyable, and for either completist collectors or those who haven't already purchased the wide release and like SteelBook packaging, this version is kind of grotesquely funny, considering the addition of the imagery on the O ring. With certain caveats noted, Sisu comes Recommended.
