Silver Bullet Blu-ray Movie Review
Reviewed by Martin Liebman September 22, 2020
Paramount's Blu-ray release of 'Silver Bullet' is currently exclusive to a five-film boxed set which also includes 'Dead Zone,' 'The Stand,' 'Pet Sematary' (1989), and 'Pet Sematary' (2019). The film was also released by Scream in December 2019. This disc includes the same video and (seemingly)
the same audio but loses the copious amount of bonus content found on the Scream disc.

Silver Bullet Blu-ray Movie, Video Quality

Parmaount's Blu-ray release of Silver Bullet contains the exact same 1080p transfer found on the well received Scream Factory Blu-ray. Please

Silver Bullet Blu-ray Movie, Audio Quality

There's a slight difference in bitrate between the tracks, and the Scream offering is a bit louder at reference volume. Both share the same encode
configuration. Increasing the volume on the Paramount disc brings the two largely in-line so keep that in mind when reading the review for the Scream disc.
Silver Bullet Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras

Unfortunately, Paramount's disc is completely bare-bones. It brings over none of the massive assortment of extras found on the Scream Factory disc.
Silver Bullet Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation

Paramount's disc may feature familiar technical specs but the absence of all of those bonus features puts a damper on this release. It's difficult to
recommend with the Scream disc still on the market, particularly if potential buyers already own the three films in the King set that Paramount already
released. The Dead Zone is in there, but that's a steep price to pay for one good movie/subpar Blu-ray.
