Disney / Buena Vista and 20th Century Studios are offering packaging fans a SteelBook edition of Predator: Badlands. The disc contents match the Predator: Badlands 4K wide release in standard packaging.

Video quality is assessed in the above linked review. Screenshots from the film can be found in the above linked review; this review offers hi res photos of the SteelBook packaging.

On disc supplements are detailed in the above linked review. The SteelBook features a moody front panel with a matte finish in cool blues, greens and grays featuring the film's protagonist arguably jumping out of the fire and into the veritable frying pan. The back panel simply offers the rest of the film's nemesis beast. The interior panels feature an illustration of the pair of combatants who join together to defeat a common enemy (see hi res photo 5). A digital copy is also included. A J card wraps around the top of the SteelBook, and offers the typical plot summary, list of supplements and credits information on the back side.

Predator: Badlands is a surprisingly visceral reboot with outstanding technical merits on both its 4K UHD and 1080 discs. The handsome if maybe surprisingly "subtle" (for this franchise, anyway) SteelBook packaging should be an extra enticement for some fans. Recommended.
