“Tokyo,” a city in the near future. With the rapid advancement of hyper-technology, general-purpose humanoid work machines known as “Labors” have penetrated every field. However, this has also given rise to a new social threat known as Labor crime. To combat the spate of Labor crimes, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department established the Special Vehicles Division 2 within its Security Bureau. Commonly known as the Special Vehicles Division 2 Patrol Labor Squadron—this marked the birth of Patlabor. Following the success of the OVA series and theatrical films, this TV series cemented the “Patlabor boom.” The colorful members of Special Vehicles Division 2 solve difficult and bizarre cases!
