Lionsgate has once again partnered with Amazon to offer an exclusive SteelBook edition of a film they've also released in standard packaging. The disc contents here mirror the wide 4K/1080 release of Now You See Me, Now You Don't 4K.

Video quality is assessed in the above linked review. This review features hi res photographs of the packaging. Screenshots from the 1080 presentation can be found in both the Now You See Me, Now You Don't 4K Blu-ray review and Now You See Me, Now You Don't Blu-ray review.

Audio quality is assessed in the above linked review.

On disc supplements are detailed in the above linked review. This SteelBook offers some fun design elements starting with a mylar O ring that is red on
the front and blue on the back. Somewhat hilariously, then, I wondered if that O ring was supposed to somehow be used as quasi 3D glasses to get a
"dimensional" view of the logo on the front panel of the SteelBook, but, alas, the O ring is too opaque for such activities. The front panel is dark blue
and black with the focal diamond holding images of the main characters. The back panel has what I assume are supposed to be the backs of Tarot
cards making the Eye symbol. The interior panel illustration can be seen in the fifth hi res photo I've uploaded to accompany this review. And, yes, for
the eagle eyed, despite this being in shrink wrap the shipping and handling wizards at Amazon somehow managed to slightly crease the mylar O ring on
the copy sent to me.
A digital copy is also included.

The problem with a franchise like the Now You See Me films is they come with a preconceived template where the viewer knows going in nothing (or at least a lot) is not as it seems, and some characters may not even be whom they seem. That means that some of the ostensible twists here may be telegraphed somewhat broadly, but there's one potential nice surprise late in the film that may catch even inveterate twist guessers off guard. Technical merits are first rate, and maybe a little unexpectedly Lionsgate has assembled a larger than average supply of bonus items for this release, and some fun design elements on this SteelBook edition may provide additional interest for anyone who may be considering making a purchase.
