Nomad + My Heart Is That Eternal Rose (1982-1989)
Two Young couples Lap and Rick separates when Lap's Father fails a mission, and Lap asks his father's partner Godfather Shen for help help and becoming his unwillingly moll, but 6 years later, Rick travels abroad to work as an assassin for hire. But Lap and Rick's love stays strong, and when the two are reunited, their rekindled emotions lead them into extreme danger.

Nomad + My Heart Is That Eternal Rose Blu-ray Movie Review

Entertainment relatively recently released The Sword (note that the link points to a Region A release), the film that is cited in several of the supplements on that disc as being a preeminent example of the so-called Hong Kong New Wave, and also notable for being the first feature film from director Patrick Tam, a name strongly associated with the then nascent "movement". Fans of Tam and/or the Hong Kong New Wave should be enthused about this double feature, which offers 1982's Nomad, Tam's third film in what looks to be its international Blu-ray debut, along with the somewhat later My Heart Is That Eternal Rose, which looks like it received a previous Region A Blu-ray release a few months ago as of the writing of this review.

As with many double features, individual mileage may vary between viewers' preferences for either film, but for anyone interested in what the Hong Kong New Wave was, this set's supplements along with the films themselves offer plenty of information. Technical merits are solid and those aforementioned supplements very engaging. As a whole, Recommended.
